Makayla Marie

                My name is Makayla Paige and I am from Robertsdale, Alabama. I graduated from Spring Hill College with a double major in history and communications with a concentration in digital video production and photography. Now, I am a mom to the sweetest baby girl in the entire world-- Ellie Rose. Becoming a mama changed my entire perspective on life. These precious moments we live out every day are truly irreplaceable, and I have never understood that more than now. By choosing me as your photographer, I promise to capture your story in the most encapsulating way possible. 

 

                Before I began Spring Hill College, I always had a creative interest in photography and art, but it was more of a "love from a far" type of relationship. When I began Spring Hill College, I knew that I wanted to major in history; however, shortly after enrolling in a communications class, my interests broadened. I took a class called the History of Film and Television which was an elective for my history degree. The class introduced me to the unique overlap between history and communications which sparked my curiosity and led me to add a communications major. After adding communications, I developed irreplaceable skills in videography, photography, writing, producing, directing and even broadcasting.

 

                Through my amazing four-year journey, I found my passion--photography and videography. Shortly after, I became pregnant. After having my sweet Ellie, I discovered my purpose. It was to be a mom. It was to be the absolute best mom I could possibly be in literally every aspect possible. Capturing all of Ellie's milestones has been so rewarding because I am fulfilling both my purpose and my passion.

Unfortunately, it seems like time is going by faster than ever before.
